- Accumulator
- A single bet that combines two or more selections; every selection must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to a team to level the match, often with whole or half numbers, eliminating the draw.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you set aside for betting.
- Bet Builder
- A feature that lets you combine multiple outcomes from the same match into one bet.
- Bet Slip
- The electronic form that records your selected bets and the amount you wish to wager.
- Bookmaker
- A company that sets odds and accepts bets on sports events.
- Both Teams To Score
- A bet on whether both teams will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- An option to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Clean Sheet
- A bet on whether a team will finish the match without conceding a goal.
- Correct Score
- A bet predicting the exact final score of a match.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (win, draw, or loss) in a match.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that refunds your stake if the match ends in a draw, otherwise you win on the chosen team.
- Each-Way
- Two bets in one: one on the selection to win and one on it to place, typically used in outright betting.
- Evens
- Odds expressed as 1/1, meaning you win the same amount as your stake if the bet wins.
- In-Play
- Betting on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Juice
- The commission or fee a bookmaker adds to the odds, reflected in the total payout.
- Margin
- The bookmaker’s built-in profit margin, calculated as the difference between the true odds and the offered odds.
- Moneyline
- A straight bet on which team will win the match, with odds reflecting the outright winner.
- Odds Format
- The way odds are displayed, such as fractional (e.g., 5/2), decimal (e.g., 3.5), or moneyline (e.g., +200).
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals (or points) in a match will be over or under a set figure.
- Point Spread
- A handicap applied to a team to create equal betting action on both sides.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a bet.
- Unit
- A standard measurement of bet size, often equal to a small percentage of your bankroll.
- Void
- A bet that is canceled and the stake is returned, usually due to a match being postponed or a rule breach.
